Jin Pliers
Jin Pliers are used to crush and strip
bark and wood when creating jin and shari (dead branches
and driftwood). Though it is possible to use straight wiring
pliers for jin and shari, pliers that have been de-signed for the task at hand will yield the best results. |

Branch Benders
Got a pesky little curve in a formal upright
that you can't correct with just wire? Or a stiff old
section that needs a little movement? Try a branch bender.
After you put it on, tighten the jack screw a little bit every
few days until you get the results you are looking for. Be
sure to leave it on long enough for the branch or trunk to
set in its new position (if you use it with wire you may be
able to remove it sooner). Steel with brass jack screw. Hooks
and jacks are coated with vinyl to help protect trunks and
branches (some people use additional protective padding).
